I wonder how they do their stingray. The Malay version is smothered in an amazing chili sauce and it's one of my favourite Indochinese dishes! I'm glad you guys are having a good time in Vietnam, it's a cool place!
Yeah, stingray is quite normal here in Singapore. Even someone as gastronomically shy as myself tried it. Once. It's OK. You wait till you get to Cambodia. While en route between Siem Reap and Phnomh Penh, I bumped into some little girls who had tarantulas as pets. They were the lucky ones - in the market, there were basketfuls of fried ones.
